Jimmy and Leah were married last Thursday at the phenomenal Cabo Azul resort which is located in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico. About fifty of their closest friends and family flew down to party with them for the week and attend their beautiful wedding. Just like my time photographing their engagement session (here), photographing Jimmy and Leah’s wedding was fun and adventurous. They are always up for any and all portrait ideas and rallied the morning after their wedding so we could hit the beach and pool for a Trash the Dress session. Congratulations Jimmy & Leah!

2011 ended with a most memorable wedding down in Los Barriles, Mexico, Brook and Jimmy’s. I spent about three days with this amazing couple and their family and friends photographing their destination wedding. I think it’s safe to say that everyone who is close to Brook and Jimmy share a similar passion, to live life to the fullest and do so at the edge of what is possible-if not beyond. For example, the number of sky, B.A.S.E., and wingsuit jumps added cumulatively between their guests must have been in the thousands! Perhaps it is the trust garnished through their exploits that produced the relationships I witnessed, perhaps it is just a testament to who Brook and Jimmy are? Regardless, their friends and family were all incredible people and it was a pleasure getting to know them. For Brook and Jimmy’s honeymoon, they decided to ride their motocross bikes back up the Baja Peninsula to their home in the Bay Area!

Brook and Jimmy, I hope your ride home was as phenomenal as your wedding-congratulations!

Earlier this year I had the pleasure of traveling down to Barcelo Palace near Tulum, Mexico, to photograph Kevin and Laura’s wedding. I submitted this image of Kevin and his groomsmen just after they had lit cigars and were chillin’ on the deck watching a crazy rain storm begin before getting into their suits. Today the results came out and it placed 8th in the “Groom Getting Ready” category! It’s always an honor to place in a Wedding Photojournalism Association contest as the submissions are so fantastic and from all over the world; for this contest, judges selected 240 images from the 13,686 they received. Laura and Kevin were married at the beautiful Barcelo Resort near Tulum, Mexico, on April 17th. I had an amazing time photographing both Kevin and Laura, as well as their family and friends. The old saying, “Good things happen to good people” was in full effect on their destination wedding weekend. Monsoonal rain clouds came and went throughout their rehearsal and wedding day, but, held off at the last minute for their ceremony. Besides the weather, their entire wedding was good, good, good, and we ended the weekend with a Trash-the-Dress session.
