Idaho is a vastly overlooked State. Perhaps the reasons derive from the press that leaks out into mainstream media–typically either agrarian blah-blah or inflammatory and contentious white-supremacist or wolf-hater. Personally, I think our reputation is great! (It keeps the crowds down) But, the truth is that regardless of where you find yourself, you’ll always find good people. That said, Ashleigh and Ryan are two really good Idahoans. I first spent time with them when they drove their old Chevy up for their engagement session (click here for those images). We had a fantastic time that evening and I loved how romantic they both were with each other; exuding that perfect chemistry which made capturing images easy!
This past weekend they held their wedding ceremony on Ashleigh’s family ranch way out in the middle of Idaho. Their ranch is really far off the beaten track; six hours from my house, which is already in the middle of no-where; 40 miles down a dirt road kinda way out there! I thought I was lost a few times getting there, but, upon arrival was blown away by the scenery. During their speech, Ryan said, “We weren’t sure how many people would make the crazy drive out here, but we knew that those people who did, were those closest to us.” It was true and they all enjoyed a beautiful wedding ceremony and partied till just about day break the next day!
Congrats Ashleigh and Ryan!
