I just returned from Southern California, Agoura Hills to be specific, where I photographed one of my oldest friend’s wedding. Tony and I grew up together in the San Francisco Bay Area and became close friends when he, our mutual friend Kevin, and I would head into the local hills and Sierra Nevada range in search of adventures. Whether it was taking our snowboards down the ski slopes of any number of the Tahoe resorts or sand dunes near Monterrey, the three of us were having the times of our lives. In some regards, I attribute my passion toward photography to Tony and Kevin as they were the first athletes to pose for my cameras. Kevin was the first to be married and I followed leaving Tony to bring up the rear. That said, Tony had been “dating” Jenn for 10 years; as long as I’ve been married to my wife. Tony and Jenn’s wedding was phenomenal, emotional, personal, and so full of positive energy it could have lit the lights that hung from the 100 year old oak tree their reception was held under. Both the ceremony and reception were held on Jenn’s aunt’s ranch in Agoura Hills, one that used to be owned by the late Bob Hope. Jenn and Tony spent a full year landscaping their ceremony and reception spots. They built retaining walls, brought in decomposed granite, soil, grass, flowers, and an amazing amount of sweat and love. In the end, their wedding was one of the best I’ve ever been to. It’s so great to see rings on these two wonderful people’s fingers! Congrats Tony and Jenn!
